Hello again, I'll try to make this as short as possible.

My friend has a motherboard that requires 1 24-Pin ATX connector from the power supply.

The power supply I'm looking at has 20 Pins..

Is there any adapter out there that can make this combination work, or am I better off getting a 24 pin PSU?

Thanks..

You are better off with a 24-pin PSU... you can however stick a 24-pin PSU in a 20 pin motherboard. Most new PSU's come with the 24 pin connector. Hope this helps.

You can just connect the 20 pins in where they go and leave the extra 4 pins without power, but it is not recommended, especially if you have high end graphics, since you will be depriving your system of valuable +12v power. I would plan on getting a 24 pin PSU.
