ive tried the western digital partitioning software the drive came with, but it still only reads the 8 gigs, cuz wd decided they werent gonna bother with making DOS happy, and made their own little partition (3rd party partioning) is there n e general tool 4 fixing the 8gb lock up?

btw: does n e body kno how many gigs is the limit of the maxtor eide pci card? im gonan get a 120 soon

Check the hard drive, some of them come with a special jumper setting to help it work with the 8 gig limit.

The pci card will most likely depend on the model, I've seen some supporting up to a 160 gig.
