2 Nics Needed??

Have office with 8 users setup in a workgroup,1 server is a 2003 standard edition.we have cable internet with router/firewall supllied by comcast.want setup vpn connections to server,do we need 2 NICS setup.the guy that installed the server says we only need one.i read somewhere you always use 2 nics.is one nic the way to do it???

anytime a server is also serving internet access, i find it should have 2 nic's.

you can get by with one, but it's a tad slower.

as far as if using two is better, i have no clue, i just know it can in fact be done both ways.
