Hey guys, i was wondering if you could give me some insight about this as i have not been able to find benchmarks where 2 8800GT in SLI were put up against a 9800 GTX. Also, if you just have an opinion please post it, but dont just say something, write some facts to back it up please. Maybe we could even get a little friendly argument about this. :tongue:

In my opinion, I would choose the 2 8800GT's. The 8800GT and the 9800GTX both have 512MB 256-bit onboard memory, and have the excellent G92 processor. The 9800GTX however has 128 stream-processors compared to the 8800GT's 112.

How much of an advantage (in percent) would you think the 2 8800GT's would have over the 9800 GTX? 20-30%?

I dont know. If you look at my "My system" specs to the left, you will see i dont know first hand about graphics cards, i have read about them a good amount, however.

Sorry , but one 9800 GTX would destroy two 8800 GT's. But if you have that kind of doh go for a 9800 gx2

I was wondering this because i have the opportunity to trade my 9800 GTX for 2 8800 GT's and was wondering what i should do. I guess i shouldnt though. Any benchmarks or a page where you got your info from emosun?
