I have a 93' Toyota Tercel that stutters and losses power during lower RPMs in 2nd and 3rd gear. It only occasionally does this and seems to do it more frequently and sever in 2nd gear.

When it does do it, it does it for a few seconds and then it starts reeving up and accelerating normally.

Any idea what the issue might be?

The problem could be a worn out timing belt or the catalytic converter is partially blocked. Run a scanner to see if any codes are present and please post them.

I just bought a 93 also and it does it on first and second mostly. Kind of stutters when you let off the gas? Does anyone know how to change out the front turn signal light? Mine is cracked, so I bought a new one, but it's entirely surrounded by metal and I can't get the old one out.
