Brake warning lamp
Regarding the brake warning lamp, try disconnecting the connector at the park brake switch. If the lamp goes off, it is a switch problem. I don't recall whether or not this vehicle uses the lamp to warn of low brake fluid level, but it's easy enough to check. If the fluid level is ok, try disconnecting the switch to isolate the problem. A third possibility, and probably the most likely, is an ABS problem, which requires a lot more checking. This problem you're best off leaving to the pro's. You might try disconnecting the brake module and then reconnecting, or just disconnect and reconnect the battery. If the lamp goes off, that's where your problem is. If it stays off, even better.
