 I am having issues with my Corvette...I don't drive it a lot here in Oregon, but when I do, it seems to have an air leak when I accelerate. Anyone have this happen?

Good morning Wrench...the sound is like an air leak. And sounds like it is coming from the passenger side under the car. When I accelerate, it does not really pick up speed like it used to. There may be a compression leak somewhere???

Okay...replacement is likely but as I read up on the subject, it suggest looking for anything else that might contribute to the failure of the converter. Is there anything else you can think of off the top of your head that I should look for?? They say if there is another problem, I will end up with the same problem eventually...

If it's not at the cat like Wrench mentioned, take a look for an EGR tube with a bad connection. The EGR tube will run from the back of the intake on the passenger side of the distributor, down to the passenger side exhaust manifold. It may still be covered with the factory heat wrap that looks a little like aluminum foil. They usually rot out or become disconnected at the exhaust manifold where the oetiker clamp connects them.
