im looking for some help to repair this error 1719 error on X64 vista does any one have any clues on how to do it i have tryed doing it like with xp but to no prevail.

i get the message while trying to use installshield wizard

Hi -

Start | Run... | Type "regedit" | Follow to this value :
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer"

If it exists, does this key exist? :
"C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\msiexec.exe /V"

If so, good. If not, create that key ONLY if the directory value exists (see above, after typing in "regedit")

Reboot | Try your install again.

This may seem really obvious but have you simply ran your install as administrator?
