Ok guys....now...You all know that little monitor that show internet speed-100mbps(that monitor at clock)...and my problem is next..few days ago i had speed 100mbps....and now i have 54mbps!!!!it just downgrade for 46mbps!!!i dont know how to fix it....it rly slow my internet....so if any1 know tell me...and if u need more informations ask...xD thx

What is the make and model of the wireless network router that you have?

If it is a G type then the NIC that you are using might just be lowering itself to 54 mbps which might be normal. Try disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the NIC and check the speed.

I use Wireless internet...my card is PLANET WL-8310 and what is G type and NIC??

I thought you were using NIC which is a Network Interface Card of which you are not using it for this device.

The little icon that is by the clock is for the wireless card and will show this speed 54mbps! because the wireless card is an 11G adapter and that is all that it can show speed wise. If you have NIC in your computer you can find out what speed it runs at by going into network in control panel and this should show you all of t he network devices that you have and also properties for all of them.

and WHAT is NIC?




P.S. i cant download that file....if u can plz set it on rapid or somewhere else lin(i cant pay)

NIC = network interface card

That speed is not the speed of the actual internet, it is the speed of the network connection your computer is having.

Unless you transfer large files, i wouldnt really worry about the drop
