Hello TSF! I've come yet again with another problem, sadly.

I've forced shutdown an AMILO v3505 laptop right after i opened it's lid (it was in sleep) and when i got back home and turn it on i got this BSOD:

stop: 0x0000007b (0xf8966524, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Tried safe mode (same bsod), tried repair/install with windows XP it says that it can't find any HDDs. I've searched the net and came to a conclusion that i fuc*ed up the sata drivers. Right now i am trying to use the "install windows XP without F6" - nlite method, which i hope it will work, though i'm having trouble because i don't know which are the sata drivers. I do have the laptop's CD in this computer right now, and found the "sata" folder in it's driver folder on the CD but there are 4 executables with the names of:
1002967_fsc_5_0_0_1032.exe
1003088_intel_5_0_0_1032.exe
1004691_intel_5_5_0_1035.exe
1004692_intel_5_5_0_1035.exe

I think it's the second one (intel_5_0_0_1032.exe) because i've launched the main setup and selected products etc and found out on the bottom of the status bar of it's program that it's linked to that file, but i'm not 100% sure.

Another problem is that i've ran this executable, it extracted to a folder but there is no .inf file so i can import in nLite to make my CD. So I ask you TSF:

1. Am I on the right track? Can it be something else?
2. Now what? How to i get the sata drivers?

I will stay as most as I can (12:27 AM) because this is not my laptop - it's my girlfriends and she has important documents on both drives C: and D: some of them required for an exam which she needs to prepare in 3 days! - I SCREWED UP AT THE WRONG TIME =(

Desperately pressing F5 in hopes of a reply,

Yours truly,
Sergiu.

About the driver: I think i've found it:

I've loaded all the drivers which nLite found on the iso. Damn no more Blank CDs gonna go burning on a DVD then :p

Is this program worth downloading, will it make a boot CD or something?

I've finally managed to make the bootable DVD with nero 8 and when it goes into setup it loads all the files and says setup is starting windows, then it searches for previous windows setups and it goes directly to the list showing the partitions and unpartitioned space on the computer to select and install. It's like it doesn't see that windows is already installed. I can't install because i have important data on drive C and important bookmarked websites needed for an exam which took long to find. What can I do?

Please TSF help me out, my girlfriend really needs these files!

I've managed to repair windows and save the files within it. Thanks for not helping TSF, techguy was of more help..

SOLUTION:

Find the sata drivers. Download nLite software. Get hold of a good windows XP iso (i.e. mine was Windows XP PRO Corp SP3 Unattended CD September 2008 ). Use nlite to make the iso:
- Mount the iso / insert the CD/DVD
- Point nLite to it Next ->
Choose: Choose bootable ISO Integrate drivers (insert the driver(s)), Choose unattended ( unnatended mode choose prompt repair ) SAVE THE ISO

I tried magic iso and it didn't boot from it. Then i got nero 8, opened the ISO and burned it on the DVD, also i choosen to finalize DVD.

Got into repair console, used CHKDSK /p c:
Found errors, did it again; no more errors. Ran the dvd again got to install, accept agreement (F8) then used Repair Windows.

Ta daa!!

Now i just finished burning dvds with backup data and going to do a full format.
