My PC (Win10) has several hard drives. One drive is a weekly clone of my "C" drive, used as a ready-to-use backup if the C dive gets corrupted.
I get concerned reading about ransomware when all drives get encrypted and become inaccessible.
So, I would be interested in an simple solution to power down the clone drive and restart it ahead of the weekly cloning operation. I use Macrium Reflect for backup and cloning.
Would the best solution be to go to Device Management and use that to stop the drive? Doing the same to restart. Would prefer a solution that allows use of a batch file to execute stop and restart operations.
Appreciate any suggestions.
