We will be upgrading the server from 12GB RAM to 24GB RAM Monday at 1:00 to 4:00 am CST (+6 GMT). I don't think the down time will be very long, just turn the server off, pull it out on the rack, install the RAM and turn it back online.

Once the added RAM is installed Jeff will be working to re-optimize the server so we can cache more in RAM and make the site even faster. Hopefully we will see some nice speed improvements from this upgrade.

Great timing!! I should be asleep...... I forgot where I read the report but TSF did show slow load times for pages.....3sec+. I don't seem to have that issue but have had to reclick a link or refresh the page on rare occasions.

Good luck with the upgrades....go partying first??......

Haha, I wish. Someone at the data center will do the upgrade, I hope they are sober when they work!

All went well?

TSF certainly is loading faster here.

PM screen came up; clicked YES, YES... got me to INBOX so fast, the PM wasn't there yet! Split second refresh; there it was.

This is one HUGE server. Just think that we squeezed a 6 server setup (of larger new year old servers) into one machine. This one is 6 x Quad Core + 24GB RAM = Amazing!

Definitely a faster page load time. Not noticible on my home system (1Mb ADSL) but here at work it is a great improvement.

that happens for me if my net speed is slow.. If it is fast, then no issues..

In slow speeds, only the half TSF page is loaded.. This has happened after the first server up gradation.. There were no issues before that even at turtle speeds..
