Yesterday we had the sad job of putting our old friend Charlotte to sleep. When she was lying on her mat with her little friend Roxy she seemed OK but she had a secondary tumor on her chest the size of an orange and though that didn't seem to bother her it was growing fast her legs were going on her and in the end she wasn't well. The vet said she could hear it in her lungs so we decided her time had come. It was a very hard decision to make but we had to consider our old friend. R.I.P. Charlotte.

Sorry to hear the news Sandy......it really does sadden me. My 'Daisy' is not far behind Charlotte in this regard. I have to assist her almost every time she needs to 'go outdoors'......help her get back up when she falls. I will have to see if a vet will make a house call......her favorites were going for a ride or just being walked on a leash. I just can't get the leash and put her in a car for the final trip.....just can't do it.

R.I.P. Charlotte, I'm sure you served your master well.

I'm so sorry to read about Charlotte Sandy, but on the positive side she had a good home, a good life and brought a lot of smiles to folks around the world, not many dogs can claim that

Rest well Charlotte, you've earned it and I hope there planty of rabbits for you to chase 'up there'.

R.I.P. Charlotte. You served your earthly purpose with valor and dedication. There comes a time in every life....

She certainly brightened up my day plenty of times.

Well, we all knew this day would come but thats no consolation. I can only imagine the devastation you Sandy, and the rest of your family must be feeling right now. As I said before, hopefully Roxy will bring you some comfort at this sad time.

R.I.P. Charlotte. I doubt I will ever forget you as I have some lovely photo's to look at.

Thanks guys she was the loveliest natured dog. Her little mate Roxy is going to miss her. Charlotte spent most of her days lying on her pillows though she was more mobile in the mornings. Here is the two of them on the pillows together and the last one is of Roxy feeling sorry for herself because she has just been desexed. We hoped Charlotte would have been well enough to look after her.

Vale Charlotte...

Had to say goodbye to 2 of our best friends (Labradors) a few years ago.
Age / time had taken its toll.
One had bone cancer that restricted movement, the other kidney failure.

Within very short time we had 2 new Labrador pups...

BTW... In case you are not familiar, I have included .......

If it should be, that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand,
For this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend only,
Stay with me to the end,
And hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will see
It is a kindness you do to me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Don't grieve it should be you,
Who decides this thing to do,
We've been so close, we two, these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Smile - for we walked together,
For a little while.

Pets Prayer

Annette Funicello, star of the original Mickey Mouse Club, has passed away at the age of 70. She had suffered from MS for over twenty years. She was a bit older than me, but she was my 11 year old self's TV sweetheart. She was the only reason I watched that show. Now it's time to say goodbye......

Hello from Charlotte, NC
Hi all, I found this site trying to find more info about a driver that was causing a BSOD on one of my machines. It was nice to see a section devoted to crashes and hangs, which is mainly what I deal with for my group at Microsoft. I hope to find time on regular (possibly weekly) basis to visit...
