Can I get my old handle back?

OS: vista home premium, Windows 10



Hi,
I log in a few times a year. Anyway since the last time I had no notices then today my password did not work and when I reset it I see I have been given a new handle as well.
What happened? Can I get my old handle back? I could not find any option to do so in my control panel.
