Hi my Macbook pro computer won't get past the grey apple screen on start up ? It has been like that for the past hour. In can turn it off by pressing the start button but if I try to start it again the same thing happens it won't get past the grey apple screen on start up and it remains "thinking". What can I do?

Start it up and then hold down the shift key to see if it goes to safe mode. If that fails, try resetting the PRAM. Then try resetting the SMC. If those all fail, stick in the DVD that came with the PC and hold down the option key at startup and select eh disk and see if it boots from that.
