Is there a way to get a list of all the apps that are listed in the Linux Mint Star Menu, if possible grouped into their categories (like Office, Graphics, Internet etc).

Even more: Is it possible to get a list only with apps installed by the user in addition to the existing ones ?

Software Manager

The star of the show in Linux Mint 18.3 is the Software Manager.
A Better Manager
Although app stores already existed in Android and iOS and similar concepts had been developed in PCBSD at the time, Linux Mint was one of the first distributions to introduce a Software Manager, and that manager started to show its age. It needed attention and so a huge amount of work went into revamping it, making it look more modern and polishing it to give a better user experience.

Does it have Synaptic Package Manager or the Software Center ? That should give you the full list.

Something like this:

Code:
dpkg --get-selections | awk '{print $1}'
Or do you want every possible app in the repository listed to you ?
