Hi guys!

I'm having a problem with World of Warcraft. I log on, play for a few seconds/minutes and then the game freezes, the screen flickers, the desktop becomes visible for a second and then the game returns back to normal. I can then play for a random number of time before it happens again.

This is a recent problem! It has only started happening since WoW patched.

I have tried everything I can think of to fix it! Made sure Windows is updated, graphics drivers updated, rolled back drivers, spyware updated, fresh boot up with minimal start up applications, turns off addons, clear of dust, system clean, fans not overheating, tried several resolutions, hard-drive defragged several times, direct X fully updated, even tried older direct X's.

Here's the information from my DxDiag:

Hope someone can help me, this really effects WoW play. It also does it in Dead Island, Left for Dead and Batman Arkham City. It is worth mentioning that I can play Skyrim and Second Life on full HD graphics with no problems.

Lets get a look at the temps and voltages D/L and run Hardware Monitor in the background while playing Alt+Tab back to HWM expand all the trees then use the Win7 Snipping tool to give a screen shot of the HWM window.

Looks good there, have you tried deleting the cache and running the repair tool?

Yes, unfortunately I've tried that numerous times; to no avail.

I've been reading around and some people mentioned that it could be a result of the graphic driver timing out. Whilst others have mentioned it could be lack of voltage.

I honestly have no clue what it could be. I've recently started getting the message from Windows: "Graphics driver AMD has stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Since you are seeing the Video TDR message the driver is the best starting point.
Try uninstalling the current driver and CCC and dropping back to a older driver like the the 11.10 here> Previous ATI Catalyst, I would install the driver only and not the full Catalyst package.
> ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

Thanks for your reply. I did all that, followed it word for word. All was looking well until I logged into WoW a minute ago and it froze.

The +12V reading of 9.94V in HWMonitor is well below the minimum required. This could indicate a problem with your PSU or it could be a false reading. Check your voltages in BIOS to confirm.

Thanks for replying Koala. Unfortunately I have no idea as to how to check the voltages in BIOS to confirm it. Could you tell me how?

Enter the bios look for a PC Health, Hardware monitoring or similar page, there you'll find the temps and volts listed.
From what I've been seeing lately it probably a bad software reading.

Thanks for replying again, Wrench97! It really is appreciated.

Sorry to be such an idiot, but how do I enter the BIOS? I have very limited knowledge when it comes to PC's, so I wouldn't want to mess around with something I don't fully understand.

Usually the Delete, ESC, or F2 key, the first splash screen on boot should tell you to press _ _ to enter the system setup.

You can only enter the bios(System Setup) before windows starts during the boot process.
