I have Excel pinned to my taskbar.

When I right-click on the Excel icon in the taskbar, I get a list of a)"Pinned" and b)"Recent"

If I wanted to add a file to my "Pinned" list, I would simply select it from the "Recent" list and select "Pin To This List".

However, something has changed that I do not understand. The only file shown in my "Recent" list is personal.xlsb.

Any idea why my "Recents" are not being shown.

If you ran some sort of cleanup tool, they usually remove the 'MRU' lists for various apps, this clears the recent items cache.

Thanks for the support tristar.

I opened a file, saved it, and now it appears in my "Recent" list.

I have not run any cleanup utilities, so that's a mystery.
