I'm regularly using the disk cleanup tool to get rid of various temporary, unnecessary files. Yet the last system scan shows "551.7 MB of junk files found." Is there any other way of deleting junk files I don't know of?

TFC (link below) is pretty helpful, but it's quite old now. My recommendation is to use CCleaner: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Just one more query on this topic. What about the "AVG PC TuneUp to fix problems for free" that's displayed with scan results? Is it safe to install and use it? Asking because I tend not to trust these offers.

Don't use any Registry Fixers, Cleaners, Repairers, Tools or anything else they're called. They can really mess up your computer and in the end, require a reinstall of Windows, a PIA.
