lately on my fully updated W7 laptop using Outlook I can receive emails but can't send them. At times if I log out then log back in no problem away they go but that is not always the case. Gmail no problems there.
Any ideas and help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Meant to say using a MacBook Air I don't have that problem.

Many thanks Corday for your help. Well I think I have solved the problem, which is unusual for me, but would appreciate your thoughts on how I did it & are there any problems ahead after doing it. Went to do what you suggested and was surprised to get a message to say the licence of MS Office 2010 has expired and I need to renew it at a cost of 99 Euro which riled me up no end. So I switched to POP from AMI or whatever it was and all seems okay now thankfully but I guess time will tell. I only use my laptop in the house where I am connected to my internet provider. So that's it Corday.

Just keep going until MS stops you.

Again Corday I really appreciate your input here..will do as you suggested then Gmail here I come.. Good luck with your tennis. Many years when I was a youngster Lew Hoad and Ken Rosewall came to my school in Darwin NT while on their trips around at different times and had a hit with us kids. I lost both times!

Those were the days. Laver, Emerson, Davidson and Stolle all did a great deal to promote tennis in your country. Try getting one of our zillionaires to come to a school and hit with kids these days.
