Happy 4th for those in the US......another day for me and I have plenty of work to do. Could be an interesting day for two of my sons.....they're on duty today. I might listen to the scanner this evening to see what they're up to......

Will be 4 nights of fireworks around here. The "official" one tonight in public places. Since we're number 1 in fireworks sales, everybody will have their own display also. At least it brings money into the state since so many states ban the sale.

When my son had his carpentry company it wouldn't be unusual to blow $1K on fireworks. We'd all gather at my place to have a few beers and light the things off......we no longer do that so I watch the neighbor's fireworks.

Best seat I had was when I lived in "The Bottoms".......when Cooper Stadium would put on a display. Walk out my front door and stand on the sidewalk. No crowds, and beverages were on hand.......restroom nearby with no line........

This tune, composed by George M. Cohan, is performed by Billy Murray, recorded in 1905. Murray was, perhaps, the first recording superstar. If you look up his discography, you'll find songs you probably know, and were recorded 100 and more years ago.
