I like STELLA beer, good beer for me.

I am most a Vodka guy. Tito's Vodka and Greygoose Vodka, both are good. Vodka flows through my veins.

This one may be interesting......if I can locate a place to buy it. 10% ABV.....I might be able to handle 3 of 'em.

There was an A&W stand in Westerville when I was a kid......but that was 60+ years ago.

I'll talk to the beer/wine people next time I go to the grocery store.......They have a pretty good selection of wines and do wine tasting. They may be able to get some of the SA Imperial Series.

The Beer and wine distributors have the Texas Legislature in their pockets . . not legal to ship either into this state! I did ship two boxes of "Olive Oil" from the Napa Valley a few years ago however . .

Two years ago we finally allowed high alcohol beer/ale here. I took some Post Grad work at the Univ. of WVa. At the Penna. border the sign coming into West Virginia said buy beer here on Sunday because Penna. didn't allow Sunday sales. The sign only 100 yards away coming into Penna. said, buy real beer here. WVa. only allowed 3.2 (alcohol content) beer.

3.2 can do a fair bit, especially if you're not used to it.

6.5% can do twice that........ When I was a young lad we had 3.2% and 6% beer......weaker beer for 18yr olds and the better stuff once you turn 21. That was not the actual ABV......it just meant the beer could not exceed those limits. For anything stronger you had to go to Canada.

I've had Steel Reserve 211 @8.1% but not very often.......that stuff's almost as cheap as Keystone Light. My son was on 'Ice' beers for a while.....just for the price and ABV. He had a real ice beer the other day when he left the beer on the porch and it froze.......

I need to go to the store today......low on coffee..... I'll check with the people in wine sales and see if they have access to SA Imperial Series.....Wee Heavy isn't the only premium beer SA brews.

I think in the UK, most of them are 4% abv and I tend to drink whatever ones going usually.

I do find it hard to get even tipsy on beer and I am a "heavyweight" so to speak and requires a lot of alcohol to get drunk (beer doesn't usually do the trick).

I'm surprised the ABV is only 4% for most beers in the UK.....I figured 6% would be minimum. I'm sipping a Yuengling Traditional Lager and it's 4.4%.....Budweiser is 5%.

I may be going to the store......depends on if my son picked up some groceries. Nope, he just got back with some goodies (including coffee).....looks like I'll find out later if the store can get some premium beer. No excuse for going to the store now.....and I was gonna fix slumgullion for dinner.

Not bad beers...... If I'm out and about (restaurant) it's Boston Lager if they have it. Been about 9 years since my last visit to a bar.
