This is a Lenovo Legion Y520 and aside from not staying asleep like every other Windows laptop that I have ever had (and my desktop), it has worked perfectly for the couple of years that I have owned it.

It crashed a week or two ago and then three times in the last day or two. I figured out how to use the Event Viewer and saw something about corrupted memory, so I figured out how to run Windows Memory Diagnostic.

It took about thirty-five minutes and didn't show the test results that were advertised. I ran it again with the same results. I read that I could find the results in Event Viewer, but all that I saw was that two tests scheduled, but no results.

I tried to find another memory tester, but the only ones that I found required a flash drive or floppy(!).

I do not have any idea when I last used a flash drive or where I might have one--if it even works. I can pick up one tomorrow after working two jobs and eleven or so hours.

I installed and ran MiniToolBox and it shows four application errors:

Error: (01/19/2020 09:35:20 AM) (Source: Microsoft-Windows-Perflib) (User: NT AUTHORITY)
Description: Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL "C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysmain.dll" (Win32 error code 126).

three times and:

Error: (01/16/2020 11:00:32 AM) (Source: Application Hang) (User: )
Description: The program Wow.exe version 8.3.0.33062 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

once. Some would say that could be easily solved by not playing anymore, but where is the fun in that?

I tried looking up sysmain.dll and error 126, but I didn't get anywhere.

Oh wow, no. There are seven more after details about Wow.exe. Sysmain.dll crashed three more times, Microsoft.Msn.News.exe crashed once, Office 2016 Licensing Service, and brave.exe crashed once.

It had these two system errors over and over for a total of ten times:

It had errors with Microsoft Office's sysmain.dll126 six times.

Sysmain.dll error 126?

It also had ten CodeIntegrity errors:

Description: Code Integrity is unable to verify the image integrity of the file \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\FlightSettings.dll because the set of per-page image hashes could not be found on the system.

also a total of ten times.

What do I do next, poke it with a stick? :)
