My computer has extremely high CPU from the Services and Controller App process in Task Manager.

If I restart the Windows Management Instrumentation service in services.msc then it actually completely fixes the problem - until I restart the computer, then I have to do it again.

When I restart WMI it also tells me to restart IP Helper, I tried only restarting IP Helper to see if it was actually that, but it is not.

I've tried every generic fix for this under the internet sun.

It does not seem directly related to any program I can simply uninstall. There is no relevant report under the WMI-Activity Event Viewer Operational log.

Any other suggestions? Any Event Viewer log I could be looking at to get an idea of what's causing this?

Thanks.

I've refreshed my Windows 10 (keeping personal files and folders, but not programs), and the problem still persists.

It's pretty confusing, I'm not entirely sure what could be causing this now. Maybe a driver?
