I am having this issue on my computer where the right mouse button will stop working. The only fix I can find is to Ctrl-Alt-Delete then arrow down to the task manager. I can then usually click on the top bar of the task manager and the mouse will work fine. Sometimes, windows explorer will show up under the "Apps" and I can restart that for a fix as well. Any ideas where to start to fix this issue?

I'm not sure if it is related or not, but last night I woke up to no longer being able to see images of pictures when I open folders. It doesn't matter what I change the view to, I still can not see them. It just hast this little default picture with two mountains and the moon on all of them. If I double click to open any of them, they open fine. I just can't tell what any of them are any longer without opening each one. It was working when I went to bed, and suddenly not when I woke up.

Thanks for any help you can offer
---Alan

You must try another (known good) mouse to see if the issue persists.

Its too easy to blame Windows.

You can also try the context menu/applications key (if your machine has one) or SHIFT+F10 once something is selected to get the same thing as a right click produces.

If either one of those, or both, are working fine then I'd definitely suspect the mouse has gone wonky.
