So,
Windows 10 HP laptop
Logitech bluetooth mouse.
If I don't touch the mouse for more than 5-10 minutes. it freezes. Move it around and in 10-15 seconds it resumes. It's really annoying.
any ideas why

Most common reason is low battery. Sometimes the USB bluetooth or wifi device does go bad. Check battery first.

If it's not the battery like Bass said ^^ , chances are that it's going to sleep and unable to wake up.

Check in Power Options or Device manager for the Power Management for the BT device and disable it, test and let us know if it works..

New batteries. Still freezes
Power management checked. Still freezes.
What's weird is the touchpad mouse works fine all the time. The Microsoft mouse will freeze after 5-10 minutes of non use.
Guess I'll have to call Microsoft and see if they have a fix.

Thanks guys

it is not Freezing, it is Sleeping to save on battery. If you left click once, it will wake the mouse up, then moving it around should work. If you just move the mouse it will take longer to wake up.

OS: Windows10. In the past CP/M, DOS, Windows 95, 2000, 98SE, ME, Vista & Windows 7

As Spunk said. With wake up enabled I have one computer where left click is needed. Another just slight movement does the job. As an aside, my gaming mouse wakes up if you barely breath on it.
