A world of BIG hurt here.
Did a PC shutdown, instead of sleep, last night. Powered up PC , this morning, and everything is LARGE size, fonts, screens, icons, etc.
Win 10, HP 750-427c desk top, Display settings: Scale 100%, Resolution 1024 x 768, Landscape. Zoom is off, at 100%, I think I have checked everything and I cannot adjust the settings to normal. They are like if they were set at 150% or larger.
Please advise.
Thanks, eddie460

What's the resolution of your actual monitor/screen?

1024x768 is very low res these days, and if you use that resolution on a screen with a higher native resolution then everything will look huge.

My 15" laptop screen has a native resolution of 1366x768, and in the resolution dropdown "(recommended)" appears after that resolution.

If this is a desktop with a large monitor (or an all-in-one with a large monitor) see if there is anything with "(recommended)" next to it in the Display resolution dropdown. If not, then look up what your monitor OEM says the native resolution is for the one you're using and set Display resolution to that or something close to it.

1024*768 happens (4:3 AR) when the PC is either in safe mode (which with Win 10 has to be somewhat informally activated by the user) or it can happen with an errant GPU driver install or a bad GPU itself. or a bad windows update install -- sometimes rebooting the PC and unplugging the display cable and re-plugging it back in can help. That specific desktop is usually carrying the I7 6700 (non K) variant CPU. Please inform us what display you're using and what your video solution is as there are about 4 variants of that HP computer most came with the GTX 750ti.

Thank all of you for easing my hurt. I appreciate all your help and suggestions. When I powered up this morning all was back to normal. ????
How ever after reading your posts I changed my resolution to 1360 X 768.
