Which one Dr or me lol.
The info on the whole thing is still sketchy as to pro's and con's my gut say's for now it will be a no from me.
I believe anyone resident in Scotland and eligible to vote will get one and the SNP have added 16 year olds to those eligible for this vote.
Who can vote in the referendum on Scottish independence? | Yes Scotland
FAQs for young voters - About my vote, produced by The Electoral Commission
The yes sector has not given any real figures as to cost and for some reason think it ok to leave it until after, this for me is not good I want to be able to compare things.

That is one of my concerns, all you hear is Scotland puts in more to the UK than it gets out, however, the surplus is no where near what would be needed to set up the necessary infrastructure. Then there is a belief we could stay in the EU but that is not something that is assured, I don't care for the EU so it would be no loss to me but businesses are worried as it would add expense to trading so prices would rise.

My question: If Scotland does become an independent country, will there there be a King crowned? If so, who is the rightful heir to the thrown? Being a history buff, these are the questions that intrigue me.

No king as they are happy to keep the Queen as head of state as far as I know.
You would as far as I know need a passport. Self appointed Lordships have no standing.

Well, if it is a historic Lord then it would probably stand but there are some which only last as long as you have the land.

I've bought enough single malt to have bought a small plot. Does that make me eligible?

How do you think the vote will go??

I should get my passport and regain the throne. Family tree shows I'm a descendant of Kenneth III......

The no votes are still ahead in the polls, but not by much, the clincher will be the youngsters, I think who could swing things to a yes.

Quote:
Support for Scottish independence has fallen following a TV debate this week and the campaign to split the United Kingdom will need a dramatic turnaround if it is to win a forthcoming referendum, a poll showed on Saturday.

The Survation poll for the Scottish Daily Mail newspaper said 50 percent of respondents planned to vote against independence in a ballot due on Sept. 18 that will decide whether Scotland breaks its 307-year union with England.

It was the highest level of support for remaining part of the United Kingdom in all Survation polls since February.

By contrast, just 37 percent said they planned to vote for a split while 13 percent said they were undecided. Excluding undecided voters, support for independence stood at 43 percent against 57 percent in favor of the union.

Looking less likely to pass . .

Both sides claimed they won the debate in truth, I decided against wasting 2 hours watching and from all reports. I did not miss anything as nothing was really said that made anyone more aware or enlightened. The questions folks want answers for are still hidden in a shroud of mystery, so it does not surprise me the yes camp is losing ground.
