Might as well dig into this one......one arrest so far.

Oregon militia standoff: man arrested driving stolen government vehicle

Maybe I'll flag the next snowplow down and tell the driver I need my vehicle to clear my driveway.......after all I did help pay for it. I've got a few repairs to make on my vehicles......time to head to the state garage so I can use the facilities and tools that I own. Camping would be nice......I own the state campground and will refuse to pay any fees.

I could go on......and my argument would be just as valid as this "militia" in Oregon.

The whole lot needs to spend a little time in a federally funded program..... Priceless!!

Looks to be the same bunch of idiots who came to Bundy's aid when he was freeloading on the American Public . .

Also looks like they are not being taken overly serious . .

Quote:
After pranksters sent the militia group occupying an Oregon federal bird sanctuary boxes of sex toys, the founder of Cards Against Humanity joined in on the fun by mailing the anti-government zealots a 55-gallon drum of personal lubricant.

Max Temkin dropped over $1,000 to ship Ammon Bundy and the other militants occupying the Malheur Wildlife Refuge a large blue tub of “Passion Natural Water-Based Lubricant,” according to an invoice he tweeted out Wednesday.

I don't think they're getting much support from most anyone......there are exceptions, though. I probably watch the wrong TV channel or listen to the wrong radio programming.......

The one they arrested was already convicted in '96 occupying federal lands and given a suspended sentence. He's currently out on bail for the same type of offense last year......the tea is strong with this one.

Supporters of the Islamic State terrorist group are urging American sympathizers to try to instigate more anti-government demonstrations like last week’s armed takeover of a federal building in rural eastern Oregon.

A Twitter posting addressed to members of the Islamic State community describes the ongoing occupation by armed rancher Ammon Bundy and his fellow activists as a “key opportunity,” and suggests that Islamists should do what they can to help them.

I was browsing a non-MSM source and spotted something rather amusing. If this is true and these "patriots" don't get some jail time I will be very unhappy. They've already arrested one for unauthorized use of a federal vehicle.....actual occupation of a federal building is another matter. Both offenses warrant a free vacation at government expense......destination will be decided by our federal court system. I think 10 years should suffice.

It might end today.....we'll see. What I can't believe is that the occupiers want to go on their merry way as if nothing happened.

Cliven Bundy arrested in Portland as Oregon occupiers say they will surrender Thursday

Wonder if there will be copy-cats that try the same thing?? Have a gripe against the government?? Sure, take over a federal building.....

Quote:
Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy must stay behind bars, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, calling him a danger to the community after he arrived in Oregon to support the armed occupation of a national wildlife preserve led by his sons.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Janice Stewart also said Bundy should not be released ahead of trial because there is a risk he won't show up for future court dates. Federal prosecutors called the 69-year-old "lawless and violent" in a document filed before the hearing, an assertion his attorney and family denied.

"If he is released and he goes back to his ranch, that is likely the last the government will see of him," Stewart said.

I read that the other day......it's about time they put Cliven behind bars. Of course, there are some real nutjobs that defend his actions.

In order to prevent bloodshed the Feds backed down after his standoff in '14. He was hard to capture after that point in time due to:

After that, Bundy was rarely seen in public without a coterie of armed guards, according to the federal complaint, making apprehending him a dangerous prospect.

Yep.....they need to keep him in jail or he'll gather up his 'cowboys' and make a last stand.
