Okay so I just got a new laptop today. It has Windows 8.

First thing I did when I started it up was remove some of the pre installed programs that I didn't want. Next I went to windows update. There were 79 updates I needed to install. Did that. It rebooted, now it said configuring, etc. Then it said windows failed configuring...yada yada yada. I think it got to 98%, might have gotten to 100%. So it rebooted and the same message keeps going. Does this in a loop.

How do I make it stop?

You did see that the message stated that you should not restart correct?

Do you have your Windows 8 Install CD?

What programs did you actually uninstall?

It sounds to me that you did more then what your saying.

I did not restart. I just let it go and it keeps rebooting. No I do not have my Windows 8 Install CD. I got it refurbished.

What is the make and model number of the system?

You said that it made it to 98% and then restarts?

What happens if you just leave it?
