I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit and the image resolution is 1280 x 720 Pixels. I need it to be 1920x1080 for a photo-taking project I'm doing. Is there a way to improve the pixel amount?

Does simply changing the photo type to Pro or HDR do it & if so, which of those two is the higher resolution? TIA.

or Set Camera Options - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) User Guide

or

All of which discuss how to change picture size (which directly equates to resolution as well). You can get resolutions well above what you've currently got the camera set at.

What @britechguy said, and, HDR has nothing to do with resolution. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-d...-range_imaging for a good explanation of what HDR is. I would just capture the images at maximum resolution and then downsize them to 1080p if that is the final size you desire.

Changing the aspect ratio does not necessarily mean an increase or decrease in image resolution. This is not the right away. OP has been given a link to doing it the right way, so let's await their feedback.
