Hi all,

Wonder if someone can shed some light on this problem i've been having.

I have an HTC One M8 which I recently (last week) updated to Android v6 and have been plagued with stuttering problems since, really noticeable on anything browser based but i'm sure i notice this in the Android menus as well.

I'm sure it was stuttering a little before the upgrade but nothing as bad as it is now, it was tolerable.

I don't have many apps on my phone and have disabled some bloatware within the app menu in the phone and cleared my cache and rebooted a few times and that, unfortunately, is about the extent of my expertise when it comes to phones.

Any suggestions would be welcome before i stamp on it out of frustration.

Thanks.

Did this version of Android get pushed to you or did you manually install it?

I periodically check for updates on my phone and this installed automatically (but the update was requested manually). The update gets pushed from my carrier I believe.

Think this is the third update i've done on the phone, no problems at all with the previous updates.

I wasn't aware that they started pushing that version yet.

I would see about doing a factory reset of the device. It may have been an error in the installation.

I got it a few weeks back now but have not had any issue, perhaps an app is miss behaving. Other thought did your carrier add their own skin.

Don't think they added a skin, everything looks pretty much the same, although i never pay enough attention to say for certain. I'll give the factory reset a go and see if that does the job.

That's what I would try.
