Hi

I was just wondering whether it's possible to uss a galaxy s8 bought in the USA to take to the UK and use a local sim card (unlocked phone) and vice versa.

I remember several years ago there were some issues of CDMA/GSM or something and the two regions use different sim formats.

Now, most phones use LTE, I'd recommend reading up on the device, check the Model number and then check in the respective Manufacturer website and see which all LTE and GSM Bands are supported, then compare it against the bands supported by the provider in the UK and if they match, you should be able to use the phone. With a disclaimer that the phone Network/Operator lock needs to be in factory unlocked state.
