I'm not sure if this is the right forum. Starting in the early afternoon, my Chrome web page loading speed slows way down. The Speedtest test shows less than 100 Mbps as download. If I run in safe mode with networking, the speed is over 300 and the pages load much faster. Note: I subscribe to Comcast Blast service.

I'm running Glasswire and I don't see any suspect connections. My Linksys Network map doesn't show any suspect connections. I know that Safe Mode bypasses some startup functions but, in the Windows startup list, the apps are either no or low impact.

Finally, I live in an apartment building and with all the tenants online maybe there is some capacity problem. However, the default ISP in the buidling is Verizon and i am with Comcast/Xfinity because of a prior contract.

Please let me know if there is a better forum to post this.

Have you tried running a speed test using other browsers? If you're seeing faster speeds in Safe Mode then I'd look into whether you have something like a software program, adware or Chrome extensions running in the background that might be slowing you down.

Internet usage is pretty high right now so it's understandable if some connections run a little slower. Have you checked with Comcast?
