Hello people from TechSupportForum, i came here to ask for help about my USB Dongle, it does not detect any networks, and while disabling and enabling it, i manage it to find my cellphone hotspot, but as soon it tries to connect, the dongle seems to crash and resets itself, hence unable to connect it.

It seems to be a driver issue in Windows 10 x64, but so far i haven't found a working driver for it.

This dongle is like this (not neccessarialy the same one, but is also black with a red edge and the 802.11n, Windows identifies as a Realtek RTL8188EU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter)

I believe I have an adapter that uses that chipset, which is dirt common.

Realtek has its own drivers for devices using that chipset: https://www.realtek.com/en/component...188ee-software

These should work. I'm actually surprised that Windows Update wouldn't find one that works.

If the adapter happens to be branded you could web search for the manufacturer's support pages as well.

If it is detecting your phone's hotspot, then Windows has already installed a driver for it. The crashing, however, suggests a fault with the dongle itself. I bought four TP-Link nano adapters that use that same chipset and all of them worked on Windows 10 straight out of the box. I never needed to use the driver cd that came with them nor needed to download any driver.

Yeah i have already tried to install the driver from Realtek, the one britechguy mentioned, and it still doesn't works. Coincidentally i also have a tplink tl-wn725n a friend lend me to test, and it also haves that RTL8188EU chipset and is recognized as Windows as a Realtek RTL8188EU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter, but this one actually works fine.

Seems to be the dongle itself is faulty, i will go to the Store tomorrow monday to swap for another and try again. Thanks for your help :D
