ITPro, Powered by Books24x7 - does any one have experience using this IT
online reference. ?
I'm looking into A+ training and certification and was told that Tech Support Professionals use this online reference to look up computer error messages, which then give step by step diagnosis and repair solutions.

If not, could anyone recommend an online reference tool for tech support?

For A+ I would start here:
Professor Messer's CompTIA 220-801/802 A+ Training | Professor Messer - CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux, Microsoft Technology Training

If you want a book search for CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 8th Edition on Amazon.
