Hi There

I have been working as Global Service Analyst for the past 3 years. Each year I am asked to completed my personal development plan. Within the last 6 months, The company have gone through a large scale cost cutting plan. Luckily Myself and my team survived without loosing our Jobs.

I am currently studying for my MCSA at home, out of my own pocket and I am wondering should I stay another few years waiting for a move into application/desktop support 2nd level role or move to new company who will offer me a application/desktop support 2nd level role?

Regards

Steve

If you feel that you aren't being considered for promotion, it might be worth it to switch. But unless and until you have another job offer in hand, there's no way for you to judge whether you ought to make the move or not. Every situation is unique. As Done_Fishin mentioned, only you will be able to adequately judge all of the factors for yourself. Best we can do is to advise you what things to consider: job security, company outlook, interpersonal relations, flexibility, salary, job satisfaction, opportunity for advancement, commute, workload, schedule, infrastructure, etc.
