Greetings,

Does anyone have any experience working in a corporate IT job? Where you have multiple IT positions working together to provide IT for a whole company?

I'm trying to pave a way for what I want to get into in three years. It would be interesting to see a corportate IT point a view. Say: programmers, engineers, analysts, network administrators, help desk, sales. All working together. The end goal is an intermediate level IT job with the posibilty of promotion.

I'm sitting in the Air Force right now with quite a bit of IT experience but not nearly enough. I will of course be working with my virtual machines (Backtrack R 42, CEH Linux Build, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 EE, Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, Windows XP Pro) and studying, studying. I currenty only have Security + certification and an associates in Information Systems Technology. I have attended; EC Council CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) on Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV) classes.

Yep. The end goal is the same as it is in all companies: to provide value for the employer, no matter what your job is.
