Hi, ive been getting the WMI Error 10 in my event viewer for some time now, along with a physical memory dump with the error. that is the only error I find in the event viewer. i have googled the error and there are many fixes but none that have worked for me.

OS - Vista x64
╖ What was original installed OS on system?
╖ OEM i believe
╖ Age of system (hardware) 2 years ?
╖ Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS?
OS re-installed by company which did the warranty work when hard drive was replaced

╖ CPU AMD Turion X2 dual core mobile rm-75 2.20ghx
╖ Video Card ATI Radeon 3200 HD
╖ MotherBoard- Unknown
╖ Power Supply - brand & wattage Unknown

╖ System Manufacturer -- Hewlitt Packard
╖ Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) HP Pavillion DV4

attached is my perfmon and other zipped files. also i tried the msconfig thing and it launches so apparently that means it is not a worm?

Do you have reason to believe the system was infected other than the BSODs and WMI events?

There were 27 BSODs dating back to 9 Oct 2011. The OS was installed on 19 July 2010. I think hardware failure is the problem.

The WMI event being recorded is benign -
Code:
  Log Name: Application
Source: Microsoft-Windows-WMI

Description:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent
WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND
TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in
namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot
be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

There is evidence of OS corruption in the files. There is no System log and I'm seeing Unknown_Module - which is usually related to hardware failure. The Unknown_Module should have a driver name like the others; the driver in blue = ATI video and was named as the probable cause in several BSODs -
Code:
