When I start my cp the system goes right into the blue screen after the desktop icons show up on screen. I have no time to press any key. In normal mode it shows a Windows Defender screen with a Trojan decteted but then blue screens. In safe mode I get to look at the icons for 1 sec then it blue screens? Any help out there, i am on my laptop of course due to problem, but didn't know what to do from here.
Thanks

Hi -

Can you get a glimpse of the bugcheck (STOP error)?

Two things to try for now -
1. Boot into SAFEMODE, select "Last known good configuration"
2. Boot into recovery using your Vista DVD or the recovery partition and try system repair.

Regards. . .
