Hello,

a few days ago my card began to crash my laptop 3 minutes or so into any of my 3d games. I've tried updating to the latest drivers and system restores, and this solves nothing - games suddenly sputter, die and cause a restart. I'm beginning to suspect it might be the hardware, but i really hope it isn't.

I've attached the required zip below

i also ran driver verifier and did get a bluescreen on startup, with the stop code
0X000000C4

please help! Thank you!

Hello,

Bigfoot Networks Killer Network Manager is blamed by the latter dumps, so you may try updating to the latest version here: Support

If you have trouble with that, or the crashes persist, remove the program completely.

I actually reinstalled windows with the latest version of drivers and Bigfoot Networks Killer Network Manager. Removing it completely is not an option, since it's my driver that controls the wireless on my laptop

Unlike before, my games now hang just as before, but do not BSOD (allowing me to cntrl-alt-del out of them)... so the problem persists unfortunately.

If we can confirm that the Bigfoot Networks driver is indeed teh cause, you might buy another adapter like this one: Newegg.com - TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless Adapter High Gain IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 150Mbps Wireless Data Rates 64/128 bits WEP WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES)

Try disabling the wireless, or better yet, remove the Boogfoot drivers/software, and see if the problem persists.

Thanks so much Jonathan

I uninstalled bigfoot wireless networks manager and ran verifier again. A normal bootup, so far so good.

I then proceeded to play my games again, and the same thing happens - a hang, then a BSOD. Here is my dump file:

any suggestions?

Well it's a good thing you tried that, it now seems as if the video card may be the real problem. Before sending your laptop in for repair or anything, it may be worth a shot doing a clean driver install.

Download the latest package here: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Run the EXE file, and select "Clean Install" when the check box appears.
