. OS - Windows 7 Pro x64
╖ Age of system (hardware) - Just built this about a month ago.
╖ Age of OS installation - Less than a month, have not reinstalled os.
╖ CPU - AMD Phenom II 1055T x6
╖ Video Card - Radeon 5770
╖ MotherBoard ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 890GX
╖ Power Supply - OCZ Fatal1ty 550W 80+
. RAM Corsair XMS3 4GB PC10666 DDR3 Dual Channel 1333MHz
. 802.11n wireless pci adapter Encore electronics ENLWI-N

Initially had the same processor with a different motherboard (gigabyte 890gx) and was having frequent BSOD problems. After many days of diagnosing, could not figure out the problem. So I returned the cpu and mobo and bought a new cpu and a mobo in hopes that this would cure the problem. But nope.

Strangely, when I had two hard drives running (connected to motherboard) it caused frequent BSOD so when I unplugged one of them I got less frequent BSOD. Later, one of the hard drives died (both are samsung spinpoints F3 HD502HJ, now I have only one connected).

I have 8 gigs of ram (2gbx4) and have tested them separately and came clean. But I think I'm going to do run the memtest again to be sure. But mind you running 4 gigs at a time still caused BSOD before.

So I think it's a toss up between my ram sticks or the hard drive. What do you think? Anyway I want to give thanks to all of you in advance for any help =)

Hi -

The bugchecks on the 23 kernel dump files vary, which is indicative of unknown hardware failure, especially when I see the Driver Verifier name Microsoft OS drivers.

A few things to try -

1. Remove Panda Internet Security --> https://jcgriff2.com/A-V_Removal_Tool...a_Removal.html

2. Update Ralink wifi driver -
Code:

netr28x.sys Fri Jun 19 03:56:06 2009 (4A3B4496)
Ralink --> https://www.ralinktech.com/support.php

3. Remove ElbyCD and Elaborate Bytes Virtual clone

4. Any idea what this is?
Code:

Start Menu\Programs\네이트온
I also see references to video and hard drive in the dumps.

dbug log --> https://jcgriff2.com/dbug_logs/$99_db..._jcgriff2_.txt

Regards. . .

Thank you for your reply.

1. I was using a free antivirus from panda (called panda cloud) and I had deleted it before I posted here.

2. Is that the driver for my wireless pci card? I am not sure which one to download. I guess the latest pci one would work (second one from top)

update: updated the driver using vista 64bit version from encore electronics website.

3. Removed

4. That's a safe program (a Korean IM prog)

and those video dumps are probably from when I tried to overclock it and the computer crashed on me a few times. I am not too sure about the hard drive dumps.

Thank you.

Create a system restore point before installing Ralink -
START | type create |"Create System Restore Point"

Install #2.

since deleting those programs and installing the new driver for wireless card, I have had less frequent BSOD (not sure if that helped or not). I will re-up the dump files.

I am going to re-up the dump files. I am still getting BSOD and after updating the driver for the wireless card, my network has been dropping randomly. Thank you.

ps. my browsers keep crashing.. do browsers crash often in windows 7? (using chrome and firefox)

Hi -

The Ralink driver is the same as before -- June 2009, which is before Windows 7 RTM came out -
Code:

netr28x.sys Fri Jun 19 03:56:06 2009 (4A3B4496)
Purchase or borrow a USB wifi device to test wifi; otherwise connect via Ethernet.

Some of the dumps are now showing "unknown_module" v. an actual driver name -
Code:

Unknown_Module_a2cee30e`1d2b342c
"unknown_module" is a sign of OS corruption possibly caused by the RAMs inability to retain kernel code properly; unknown hardware failure affecting RAM; a 3rd party driver like ElbyCDIO.sys, which can cause memory corruption all on its own. Remove it.

I am also seeing DirectX component drivers listed in VERIFIER_ENABLED dumps, which may be video or possibly RAM. I did take note that your ATI video drivers are current - May 2010.

WMI is reporting the 4x2 GB Corsair RAM as matched.

Remove Elby; take care of Ralink and see if BSODs persist. Before you start tearing hardware out of your 6-CPU, 8GB RAM system for testing, I would highly suggest that you wipe the HDD and reinstall Windows 7 and see if the OS is by itself stable.

Use KillDisk to wipe HDD --> https://jcgriff2.com/killdisk_imgburn.html

Hi, jcgriff2

I am beginning to think that my wireless pci card is the sole reason for causing the crashes. I have been connected via ethernet since last night and I have not had any crashes whatsoever. Hopefully I won't see any more BSODs...

anyway, I wanted to say I really appreciate your help on this issue. Thank you jcgriff2.

Thomas.
