Remove Zone Alarm.

Reboot upon completion. Install MSE - https://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Zone Alarm is a horrible product guaranteed to cause BSODs under Vista and Windows 7 -

https://www.sevenforums.com/680187-post7.html

If BSODs persist, run the Driver Verifier -- https://sysnative.com/0x1/driver_verifier.htm

Hi,

I removed ZoneAlarm before I ran your tool and rebooted and ran CCleaner so I think its strange how it still shows.

I have removed AntiVir and Installed MSE.

The BSOD's are not frequent at all. Its all randomized. I will run Driver Verifier just to see if anything turns up. Ill post in my next post.

Thanks.

Hey,

I ran the Driver Verifier and it resulted in BSOD's everytime I logged into normal mode.
I done all the steps and I'm back in normal mode now.

I am trying to find a recent dump file but the only one thats in the C:\WINDOWS\minidump is one from the 12th.

I then opened CMD as Admin and went to check the driver verifier status and to turn it off and it said:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>verifier /query
15/12/2010, 08:49:02
No drivers are currently verified.

C:\Windows\system32>verifier /reset
No settings were changed.

I'm not sure if thats right or not?
C:\Windows\system32>

I managed to get the dmp files. I had to change the System Failure settings so it saved in C:\WINDOWS\minidump, Rather than add to C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.dmp

Here are 2 minidump files

Uninstall Spyware Terminator - it was flagged by the Driver Verifier.

Code:
sp_rsdrv2.sys Tue Sep 30 09:00:27 2008 (48E222EB) - Spyware Terminator - https://www.spywareterminator.com/
September 2008 driver too old for Windows 7 RTM.

Hi,

Thanks for that.

The Spyware Terminator I had was the new version so its rather confusing on why it has a 2008 driver.

Could you explain that?

Is that the only issue or is there more?

Hi again,

Me and Dave (Deejay100six) were talking on MSN about this issue I have.

I noticed that when I opened 'computer' or 'Disk Management' it sometimes resulted in a BSOD.

We had a bit of a discussion about it and here is the conversation and what steps we took to finding a unsigned driver.

Full conversation here: https://itouch1989.yolasite.com/

I have ran Verifier for over 24 hours now.

Here is the mini dumps from the past 2 days.
Since the uninstall of MagicDisk (Conversation with me and Deejay100six) no more BSOD's as it appears
