Hi -

Run Driver Verifier - Driver Verifier - Windows 7 & Vista (BSOD-related)

Driver Verifier needs to run 24 hours minimum or until it BSODs your system, whichever is less. Then . . .

Provide full system info - Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 & Vista

Also, run - Speccy - System Information - Free Download
- "File" | "Publish Snapshot" | Paste URL into your next post

Regards. . .

That exact scenario is described in the Driver Verifier Instructions.

https://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...ta-452654.html

Run - Speccy - System Information - Free Download

running driver verifer gave me BSOD, then I tried safemode ,in safe mode system restore is not option , the closeset thing was last good configuration which does not allow you to retun to configuration you just saved earlier, not sure if this makes a differnce.. tried driver query 3 times, no bsod , a box opens driver query manage box and then nothing happens waited 20 minutes , just show command i typed veifier query. I can find minidump file but not sure how to unzip for posting.
-ran specy system info which DRIVE bOOST it listed 18 drivers that need updating;however when I went to update each one of drivers manually after 20 second I got reponse driver is most current uptodate, i guess driver boost is scam

Was there a driver name on the BSOD caused by Driver Verifier?

It would be located directly below the STOP error, e.g., abc123.sys

I don't know how/ where/ why "Drive Boost" entered the picture here. I did not provide instructions about updating drivers.

Please run Speccy - Download Speccy 1.11.256 - FileHippo.com
- "File" | "Publish Snapshot" | Paste URL into your next post

Hi -

Thank you for the files.

Various bugchecks, which is indicative of Hardware Failure -
0xa - pageable memory improperly accessed
0x19 - corrupted pool header
0x1a - memory management error
0x24 - HDD
0x50 - invalid memory referenced
0x77 - kernel corruption
0x7e - exception;memory access violation
0x8e - exception; memory access violation

0x77 = Unable to read kernel data from page file into memory; likely problem with HDD &/or RAM -

Run memtest86+ - https://www.techsupportforum.com/2863029-post5.html

0x24 = possible HDD failure.
Run HDD diags - start w/ SeaTools for DOS - 2nd link -
- https://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html
- Drive diagnostic utilities compendium - TechSpot OpenBoards

The other bugchecks suggest RAM failure, other unknown hardware failure affecting RAMs ability to properly hold kernel code or could be rogue 3rd party drivers.

Run memtest86+ - https://www.techsupportforum.com/2863029-post5.html

These 2 drivers named as probable cause in one BSOD -
Code:
aswSnx.SYS Tue May 10 08:03:53 2011 (4DC929A9)
tvtumon.sys Mon Dec 10 04:06:08 2007 (475D0180)
Lenovo - https://support.lenovo.com/en_US/down...DocID=HT000929
Avast - http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#aswSnx.SYS

Go into System Services, locate tvtumon -- and disable it.

Then run hardware diagnotic tests.

Regards. . .

I am unable to run seatools dos version but I ran windows long generic version which showed HD failure, also tried hitachi HD test I have burned 4 files on CD but when I open and run DFT , disk loads for 10 second and small window appears but nothing happens, I have rebooted computer but it will not run. my HD is from hitachi, shoud I be running sea tools or hitachi test, I would appreciate some detailed instruction on how to do this
-checked my system services there is nothing listed as TV tumon
- lastly are any of the HD repair disk for sale on line legit, will they fix HD, how do I know if it needs tobe replaced vs repaired

thanks

Various bugchecks, which is indicative of Hardware Failure -
0xa - pageable memory improperly accessed
0x19 - corrupted pool header
0x1a - memory management error
0x24 - HDD
0x50 - invalid memory referenced
0x77 - kernel corruption
0x7e - exception;memory access violation
0x8e - exception; memory access violation

0x77 = Unable to read kernel data from page file into memory; likely problem with HDD &/or RAM -

Run memtest86+ - https://www.techsupportforum.com/2863029-post5.html

0x24 = possible HDD failure.
Run HDD diags - start w/ SeaTools for DOS - 2nd link -
- https://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html
- Drive diagnostic utilities compendium - TechSpot OpenBoards

The other bugchecks suggest RAM failure, other unknown hardware failure affecting RAMs ability to properly hold kernel code or could be rogue 3rd party drivers.

Run memtest86+ - https://www.techsupportforum.com/2863029-post5.html

These 2 drivers named as probable cause in one BSOD -
Code:
aswSnx.SYS Tue May 10 08:03:53 2011 (4DC929A9)
tvtumon.sys Mon Dec 10 04:06:08 2007 (475D0180)
Lenovo - https://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=HT000929
Avast - http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#aswSnx.SYS

Go into System Services, locate tvtumon -- and disable it.

Then run hardware diagnotic tests.

There seems to be something wrong with the burnt CDs or BIOS is not set to read CD/DVD drive 1st.
