Bump. Some help would be seriously appreciated. I know I may sound impatient, but my mate is on my back about trying to get this fixed. The reason I've posted this log for him as he currently has no internet.

Hello and welcome at TSF.

You are unable to change your internet explorer settings, and did not gave Spybot or any other program permission for immunise? Fix this entry with HijackThis
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

There is a restriction in Internet Explorer and you can not change the settings. If you did not give any antispywareprogram, like Spybot, permission fix below entry.
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
Updating Java:

Go here and click on the Download button to the right of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.0
  • Accept the license agreement by clicking the radio button.
  • Under Windows Platform - J2SE(TM) Runtime Enviroment (JRE) 6.0 click the Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language link.
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove any entries that refer to Java 2 Runtime Enviroment
It should have next icon next to it:
    and then reboot your PC.
  • Navigate to and delete the following folder, if it exists: C:\Program Files\Java.
  • Finally double click the installation file, jre-6-windows-i586.exe, that you downloaded earlier.

Beside the above remarks your HijackThis log is clean, but this tool does not show everything.
Can you follow this advice:

Download Combofix to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick combo.exe and follow the prompts.
  • Type Y and click “enter”.

Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang!
  • Reboot the computer after the fix is done
  • Automaticle a log should open named combofix.txt. (location: C:\combofix.txt)
  • Post this log in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log
