Hi

When I play downloaded episodes of 24, it plays fine for about 20 mins on zoom player / DivX player then the sound keeps going and the picture stutters. The CPU goes to 100% and I ahve to puse playback and wait until the thing calms down to continue. It then does that every 5 mins or so and drives me mad :( I have my hi-jack file below - any tips ??

Anything there that looks suspect ??

Cheers
JAX

My System

Hi JAX666 and welcome to TSF.

Apologies for the late reply - we normally try to answer within 24 hours.

Your log is clean. It could be hardware related but I'm no expert on that. I suggest you post in the Hardware Forum and see what help you get there.

In the meantime, I'd like you to do an online scan, just in case there is anything hiding.

Perform an online scan with Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan

Click on the "Free To Use ActiveScan" located on the top right hand corner.

1. Click Check Now and a "pop up" window will appear. *Please ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it *
2. Enter your e-mail address, country, and state & click Scan Now * The download of the 8 MB Panda's ActiveX control will take place *

Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
  • If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report.
  • Please ignore any entry it finds and the offer to buy the program to remove the entry, as we will address this later.
  • Click on See report then click Save report

*You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
*Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

Thanks for checking Iain. Will re-post my question in the hardware section, but as I have a laptop I don't think I will be able to change anything anyway. At elast it will give me a hint as to what might be causing it.

Thanks again

JAX
