I was trying to find a specific video card. Couldnt find it but this one had like the same everything except for.. the port callout. I bought a video card with usb type- c virtuallink when the one I originally wanted was a standard, usb type-c. Will this be an issue?

When really I was after but could not find,
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC GAMING, 08G-P4-2182-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans & RGB LED

Was basing my build off of Rich-M recommended 1600$ intel build guide listed here

VirtualLink is NOT a type of USB-C. Read the card's specs sheet again, it states:

Quote:
Designed for USB Type-C™ and VirtualLink™*
*In preparation for the emerging VirtualLink standard, Turing GPUs have implemented hardware support according to the “VirtualLink Advance Overview”. To learn more about VirtualLink, please see https://www.virtuallink.org.

It's still a standard USB-C, but with support for the VirtualLink standard, which you may or may not have a use for any time soon.
