Confused

Hello

I built myself a computer 1 year ago with the Z97-AR as the motherboard, the sound has been perfect until recently,
where the 3.5mm plugs on the back output way lower sound that it used to, about a 60% decrease in volume.
But if I switch to my phone, or use the ports on the 450D case the sound is as high as it should be.
I've looked around for solutions, but not much has helped.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a hardware fault. Windows or the drivers (such as the volume settings) affect both the front and rear ports.

Do you think there is anything I could do to solve it, or should I just accept my faith? :p

The rear ports are directly connected to the motherboard. So there isn't anything that you can do with those ports.

Alright, thanks for the reply, guess I'll have to do with the static noise from the front ports, or get an audio card later.

Unless theres a way to in some way use the other ports, blue/orange ones. (I'm uneducated with those so I don't know what they are used for.)

>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC_System_Design_Guide

green = stereo audio (front left/right)
black = surround rear audio (rear left/right)
orange = surround center and subwoofer
silver = surround side left/right

All of the normal (ie: all stereo audio) audio only uses the green port.
