sound card choice

My System

hi all

i have always used the onboard sound on my motherboard for gaming, movies and music

would i notice any difference if i used a dedicated sound card? if so which would you recommend? i dont need a top of line 150 soundcard but if it makes a difference i woulnt mind paying paying 35-70

dont know if it matters but i have logitech speakers (2 satellites and a sub) if i use headphones i have logitech g930

Depending on the actual chipset you are currently using, there are likely better options. But speakers have a bigger impact on quality than just the audio chipset. In order to actually hear the differences in chipset quality, you need a speaker system/headphones of sufficient quality to make that possible.

If you are currently having issues, it could be the solution. But simply upgrading (the soundcard) to get better "quality" is a waste of money. Spend your money on better speakers.

Also, the software-drivers can make a big difference to the sound quality too.
