Follow the steps and post the hardware id Ven and Dev info.

i am using a dell inspiron9300 that had win xp now with vista hp i will even install generic sound card driver for sigma tel c major. please help.

The correct driver should be on the dell support page , I gave you a method to find the driver in the link of my last post if the dell driver does not work.

hi dell has no vista drivers for that model laptop so you will have to follow the link in post 2 and post the hardware id Ven and Dev info. to next post and we can see if we can find a driver that will work.
